First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harmons.
Maintenance
I went to a Harmons job fair, got a number, and was interviewed right there. They offered me the job on the spot! It was a really fast and complete process. If you see a Harmons job fair, I'd say go for it.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
Cheese Manager
I went through several interviews for a management role, but they ended up offering me an associate position to 'prove my value' before a management role. I had a phone interview that went well, and an interview with a higher-up. Then, when I met with Louis at the Roy location, he seemed more interested in filling the associate positions because there wasn't much interest. It felt like a bait and switch. I have experience with specialty foods, sciences, team management, inventory, and batch planning. The interviews themselves went well. The only thing I can think of is they tried to bait and switch me. I need healthcare and day-one benefits, and I'm not taking a pay cut to prove myself. Sorry. Avoid the Roy location.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
Manager
The store PSM will give you a call and invite you for a group interview. After that, a general interview is conducted. Sometimes, you might get hired right away. Other times, you'll be asked to wait to speak with the store director or manager, or you might be called back later for another interview with them.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
- What's an area where you think you could make improvements?
Prep Cook
I applied online. The whole thing took only 1 day. I interviewed at Harmons. It was a small group interview where they asked questions. Everyone applying for different departments was there, so the questions weren't specific to the job you wanted. Then there was a second interview where they talked about specifics and placed you in the department they needed you in. Overall, both interviews were pretty easy and it seems like it's hard not to get hired there.
