It was a MESS. I had an initial interview and was supposed to meet with the hiring manager. Then, they emailed to say the next round would be with two more hiring managers. After two weeks of silence, I was told the interviewers weren't available anymore. Complete radio silence for two weeks before they told me the role was filled. This company is a JOKE.

It was a very good, cordial online interview. The interviewer was patient and receptive. Everything was very pleasant and enjoyable. I felt very comfortable and at ease. The interview started on time and lasted about thirty minutes.

So I interviewed for an OTT Sales Manager role at Harmonic, and it was pretty much what another candidate described. The hiring manager mostly talked about himself instead of asking about me. He seemed more interested in getting market info than actually seeing if I was a good fit. It became clear that there wasn't much room for advancement since the main sales team already handles the key markets. They're looking for someone to get quick wins in areas where the company has no footprint or support. The expectations felt unrealistic, and there wasn't a clear plan to achieve them. The whole vibe was unprofessional and felt like it was all about him. Didn't get the job, and honestly, I'm glad. It seems like a place to avoid.

The recruitment process was very drawn out, taking over 3 months. It was confusing because the job description kept changing, and the interviewers seemed to have different, sometimes conflicting, ideas about what the job entailed. There are many managers in-house, but most of the actual work seems outsourced. The processes were unclear or poorly explained. It was a stressful process, and the first time I was unavailable for an interview (after having completed 4), I was no longer considered and received no feedback.
