First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harmon Discount.
Cashier
I had two interviews. First with an assistant manager, they seemed eager to hire me but I didn't hear back. So I reached out again and got another interview with the store manager within a few days. Both managers were nice and treated employees well. I was pretty much hired right away and started the next week. The environment felt a bit off at first but it's fine after a few days.
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses?
Store Manager
I wasn't sure if they would call me back, but they did. I first met with the recruiter at their corporate office in N.J., and it went well. Then I met the district manager, and the general manager for that location. Within 4 weeks of getting the offer, I started working there after following the company's new hire policies.
- Is this a long-term job prospect for you?
Overnight Stocker
The interview process was very relaxed. They were primarily interested in understanding my personality and mindset, and confirming my ability to perform the job duties. I felt no pressure answering their questions, and the entire interaction lasted less than 10 minutes.
- Were you previously employed in an overnight capacity and would you be able to do so currently?
Sales Associate
It was very friendly. They asked a lot of questions about my former employment, responsibilities, and roles there. They also asked why I wanted to work there and if I would be interested in progressing and moving up in the company based on my answers.
- What is your definition of customer service?
