First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HARMAN.
Validation Engineer
It was a walk in interview. Management was poor for people who went to interview. It felt like a fish market. First round was a written test MCQs about microprocessor, physics, computers etc. Second was technical round was face to face but again about same topics.
- MCQs about microprocessor, physics, computers etc?
- White box testing?
- black box testing?
Senior Test Engineer
HR reached out directly via email. Had 2 rounds of technical interviews. The first round focused on Java and Selenium. The second round, which lasted over an hour, covered frameworks, Java, Jenkins, Maven, and demonstrating manual scenarios through an Automation Framework. The interviewer in the second round seemed confused and bored. It was a bad and unprofessional experience; if they didn't want to hire, they shouldn't have wasted my time.
- Can you reverse a string?
- Write a program to print a pyramid.
- Provide a real-time example of an abstract class.
Software Test Engineer
The hiring process took about three months. There were three interviews in total. The first one was with HR over the phone. The other two interviews were panel interviews directly with the people in charge. The interviews themselves were quite straightforward and not heavily technical, mostly focusing on my previous experience and assessing my English proficiency.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
