First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hargrove Engineers + Constructors.
Engineer
The entire interview process took about six weeks from start to finish. The interviewers were really nice and helpful when I lost my train of thought. They made it feel like a casual chat, which helped the conversation go smoothly.
- What is your approach to seeking help when facing a challenge?
Civil/Structural Engineer Intern
It was pretty relaxed, and overall a good experience. It was a little tricky to chat at first since this was my first internship interview and I wasn't sure how things would go. Basically, they want you to talk about yourself and what skills you have that would benefit the team.
- Can you give a brief self-introduction?
Project Manager
I was interviewed by two people who seemed to have already made up their minds about me and didn't ask enough to really assess my skills. They seemed pretty set in their ways and not really looking to improve how things are done or the company's performance.
- Are you capable of handling several projects concurrently?
Controls & Automations Co-Op
Got an email to set up an interview 10 days after applying. Two Engineer leads interviewed me on Microsoft Teams for about 40 minutes. Two days later, they called to offer me the position.
- What are your goals for working at Hargrove?
- Tell me about a technical project from your resume.
