The overall interview process for this Automation testing role consisted of 4 rounds. The first round focused on technical skills, covering Core Java, Selenium concepts, and automation framework questions. The second round involved in-depth programming and Selenium questions, along with tools knowledge. The third round was a managerial discussion, touching upon high-level aspects of automation testing. Finally, the fourth round was an HR session to discuss personal details, salary expectations, and reasons for seeking a new job.

My first interview round was scheduled by HR during my work hours, and they said it would only take an hour, which was fine. The interview was conducted via MS Teams. The interviewer joined on time and asked me to introduce myself. After I finished, they asked me to repeat my introduction. This happened a couple of times for different questions. I then asked if they were experiencing any network issues, and they said no, but just kept asking me to repeat my answers. Then, they asked me to share my screen to write code. When I shared my screen, my camera, which was on, turned off because I was using web Teams. They stated they couldn't proceed without my camera being on, so HR advised me to join from my phone and laptop and turn on my mobile camera. I did that. When I then asked the interviewer about screen sharing, they said I could just drop my code in the chat screen. I found this very unprofessional, as all the time I spent getting my camera on for screen sharing felt wasted. After I dropped my code in the chat, the interviewer said they couldn't read it properly and I needed to share my screen and write the code again. Once I finished coding, they asked me to explain the logic, and I had to repeat the logic twice because the interviewer wanted everything repeated. The interviewer was very unprofessional in their approach to interviewing a candidate. They were not kind, nor did they show respect or value to the candidate.

The recruiter was very helpful, offering a flexible schedule to set the interview anytime. I faced some difficult questions but cleared all rounds. Overall, it was a very good experience. The onboarding process was also wonderful.
