They seemed to care a lot about whether you were interested in the company, and the personality interview felt like a real job interview. You should definitely organize your experiences and link them to the company, showing them what you can bring. It looks like they really like people who seem enthusiastic.

So first there was an interview with recruiting, then an in person interview with the hiring manager. During the interview process, I was asked several inappropriate and potentially illegal questions about my background, marital/family status, and ability to work with people of certain ethnicities. These types of questions are not permitted under U.S. employment law and raised red flags. Be warned about working here. They also mentioned working long hours like 15 hour days. I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt but this entire interview felt off.

I interviewed for a Learning & Organizational Development Manager position at Hanwha and was feeling pretty good about it. After a phone screening and then an in-person interview, they asked me about salary expectations and my start date, which made me think I was a real contender. I followed up after the interview on Thursday but didn't hear back until the following Tuesday. That's when I found out from their third-party recruiter that they had decided against moving forward. The reason they gave was that they needed someone with 'smaller company L&D experience,' which was never mentioned in any of my interviews. On top of that, I left some printed work samples behind and asked for them to be returned, but the company never even acknowledged my request. The recruiter also promised a follow-up call that never materialized. What was most disappointing, though, was Hanwha's lack of direct communication and closure. Candidates invest a lot of time and effort into the interview process, and it's reasonable to expect professionalism, transparency, and basic courtesy in return. Sadly, this experience didn't show any of that.

The role was for the CCTV division. After reviewing my CV, they invited me for an interview. However, right from the start, they were sarcastic about my background in Product Marketing. The HR person was nice but quite passive. The manager who was leaving acted with way too much confidence and mockery, to put it mildly. His supervisor's English was really hard to understand, so someone else had to translate for him. I was surprised when I asked the departing manager if he was moving to a different company or staying within this one, and he muttered that it was too personal. This is a standard question to understand why the role is open. I felt the organization wasn't very professional, not just because of communication issues, but also their unprofessional attitude from the beginning and not taking me seriously. They didn't meet the professional standards expected in an interview.
