First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hanscom Federal Credit Union.
Software Engineer
The technical panel and system design parts went fine, and we even talked about logistics. But then, there was a big gap in communication. They were slow to let me know when the hiring manager was free, and in the end, I found out the job was taken without anyone telling me directly. It started off good, but the lack of updates and no final word really soured the experience.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
- Can you confirm your willingness and ability to commute?
Manager
Working with the interview team was great from start to finish. They kept in touch often and met all their timelines, or if they couldn't, they let me know why. Overall, the whole process from applying to getting the job offer was a really good experience.
- What was it about the company's mission or vision that appealed to you?
Learning and Development Coordinator
Got a last minute call to interview because they lost a new hire and needed to fill a position fast. I was free, so I went in. Things went well, and I felt a good connection with them. After the interview, I made a few calls and sent some emails to check on the status. Hanscom went dark, and I never heard back about what happened. It's not that I'm upset about not getting the job, but that they never communicated with me either way. It left me wondering what happened and waiting for weeks without knowing. I think this kind of behavior is unprofessional and not what you'd expect from a mature, responsible company. I don't think asking for simple human respect is too much. I wouldn't recommend Hanscom Federal Credit Union.
- Can you describe your experience in creating and delivering professional development training?
Executive
So, I had this initial phone interview. Then the person who set it up wanted me to come in for an in-person interview with the team. When I got there, the person who was supposed to interview me wasn't even there because the scheduler forgot to tell them I was coming. Major waste of my time since I took off work and traveled. So I foolishly scheduled another interview, which was a group interview with several people. It went really well, but then I just got a generic rejection. Seems like it was a ghost job since nobody was hired, and I can't find any info on it. Super annoying and shows no respect for candidates' time. Over 100 applicants too, imagine how many others wasted their time.
- What strategies have you been employing in your current position that you can share?
- Tell me about some strategies you've used in your current role.
