First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Handshake.
Account Manager
This interview process was a dumpster fire. It was disorganized with shifting timelines and expectations. I was also repeatedly interrupted and cut off while presenting my responses. The hiring manager repeatedly tried to emphasize how much of a favor they were doing by interviewing me even though they reached out about the job.
- What would be your approach to setting up a new account?
Account Manager
Interviews were easy at first, but then I had to give a 30-minute presentation. The interviewers were polite, but I never got any feedback and was confused about why I didn't get an offer. It felt like a waste of time.
- Imagine you're pitching to us as if you were still at your old job. Try to sell us.
Senior Account Manager
The hiring process was quick and efficient, with flexible scheduling. While there was a slight delay due to the hiring of a new Director, it was handled well. I liked that the meeting with the Director was a casual coffee chat instead of a formal office interview, which fit the relaxed and friendly company culture. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout.
- What are your career aspirations and what do you seek in a new position?
