First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hancock Claims Consultants.
Product Owner
The interview process was pretty smooth and professional. First, there was a call with HR to chat about my experience and the job. Then, I had a product-focused interview with the hiring manager, who asked me about product management scenarios and problems. Lastly, we did a behavioral interview covering things like teamwork, leadership, and how I handle disagreements. It was a really clear process and I knew what to expect. Felt pretty supported throughout.
- Can you describe your approach to managing prioritization?
Team Lead
Communication was a big issue. I got an interview, then a second one was scheduled. I was really into it, but the second interview got cancelled because the interviewer was sick, which I get. I followed up six times. I got replies like 'sorry, holidays,' 'scheduling issues,' 'working on it,' and 'I'll let you know.' It's been 5 weeks, and the second interview was never rescheduled, and I wasn't even told why. I was just left hanging.
- At this leadership level, the interview is more of a conversation. The conversation flowed well and was informative.
Claims Coordinator
First there was a phone call where they verified my resume details, like my education and job titles. I mentioned my availability. The recruiter was nice. Then I had an in-person interview with 2 managers. This interview focused more on my skills, like MS Office and software I've used such as Xactimate, and asked scenario questions. I got to showcase my talents and personality. It's good to be confident, know your weaknesses, and admit them. The managers were also nice. I received an offer shortly after. The entire process was completed in just over a week.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a conflict of interest?
- How would you describe your proficiency with MS Excel?
Customer Service Representative
So after I submitted my online application and resume, I got two emails with evaluations. One was about personality and the other was a math/word problem test that was timed. Then, they emailed to see if I was free for a phone interview. The whole thing took like 30 minutes and was super professional. After that, I had a Zoom interview with the Customer Service manager in the morning, which was about 30-45 minutes and went great! I got the job offer that evening. Fingers crossed for you!
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a challenging customer and how you managed the situation?
