Interviews are quick and friendly, providing a fair process for all! I've only had positive experiences. Some interviews will be in-person and others virtual. Sometimes you'll be asked to bring a recent piece of work or need to create a presentation to a brief.

I saw the job advertised on NHS jobs and the Trust website. The application was a standard form. The interview was a panel interview with the Trust chairperson, medical director, chief medical officer, and clinical director. Each of them asked several questions, and the interview lasted about an hour. No presentation was needed, and it wasn't intimidating at all. The whole process, from applying to the interview, was efficient and pretty straightforward. I could easily reach all the panel members before the interview, and they were approachable.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied through the standard NHS process. While I met all the listed criteria, during the panel interview, a panel member questioned my foreign qualifications and experience, which seemed to conflict with national and international laws. The interviewing manager appeared disengaged, as if just going through the motions. It was a poor experience, and I'd advise against it if you have an international background, as the organization seems conservative and opaque. The position ultimately went to a UK-educated candidate whose experience wasn't even required by the job description.

It was a 30-minute interview on Microsoft Teams with three people on the panel. They were pretty nice and the vibe was pretty relaxed. I heard back about it two days later via a phone call.
