First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hammer Corp.
Account Executive
Applied on Thursday, got a positive response Friday. Chose the next business day for the interview. Received a calendar invite for 10:10 am, which I accepted. Arrived on time and waited 20 minutes without any contact (call, text, email). Sent two emails while in the Zoom Waiting room, but got no response. Left the interview. It's now 24 hours later and still no acknowledgment or offer to reschedule. This suggests potential pressure on recruiting or sales leadership.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Sales Development Representative
The recruiter was late for our call, which was very short, only about 4-5 minutes. They asked rushed questions and didn't give any feedback afterward. The salary also seems really low considering the cost of living in the city where the job is posted.
- What is it that motivates you on a daily basis?
Inside Sales Representative
Initial screening was rescheduled because the recruiter didn't show up. The screening that did happen was poorly coordinated by a college intern who had very little sales experience or knowledge. The second Zoom interview was audio-only, so I couldn't see or interact with the interviewer. The interviewer seemed uninterested in my sales experience, was rushed, and mainly talked about how great Hammer Corp was and how we'd move on to the next interview. They should have Sales Managers who know the position and environment well to have actual conversations with candidates. It felt more like a speed date than an interview.
- Were you asked basic screening questions common in a call center environment?
Inside Sales Representative
I met with 2 managers, one from the CS dept and one from the sales dept. It was nice and relaxed. Looking forward to a 2nd interview. Sales floor was lit, just how I like it!
- How do you handle rejection?
