First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hamilton Southeastern School District.
Substitute Teacher
The process is very detailed. Background checks are required. You must prove you have 30 college credit hours. I'm waiting for the background checks to be completed and all the paperwork to be processed.
- Can you tell me about your availability and which schools you are interested in?
Educator
I applied online via AppliTrack, then had an interview with administrators and a group of teachers. They gave feedback really fast, and I got onboarded quickly. I felt really supported throughout the process.
- Considering Indiana was thinking about adopting CC Standards, how would you implement them in the Science curriculum?
Maintenance Worker
After submitting an application and providing references, I was called in for an interview within a few days. The interview itself was pretty basic, not too hard to answer. They asked about my background, including any criminal history. They also asked for personal references and about my work history. They wanted to know what experience I have for the job I applied for. They also asked if I knew or was related to anyone working at the schools. Finally, they asked if I had any issues working nights.
- What are your thoughts on safety?
- What experience do you have for the job you applied for?
- Do you know anyone who works for the schools?
