Had an online interview with the IT supervisor and the CTO. It was pretty laid-back and included typical industry questions for an IT support role in healthcare or big companies. Be ready for questions that aren't strictly IT, but more about how you work with colleagues or clients.

The interview process felt relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable. The hiring manager, who also serves as a therapist and no longer works there, was friendly, laid-back, and easy to talk to. They inquired about my past experience, my strong points, and areas where I could improve. The manager shared feedback from my positive references and expressed how impressed they were with what was said. It was a brief and straightforward process, and I felt confident about getting the offer immediately.

A senior manager I know referred me for the Peer Counselor role. I had two in-person interviews that went really well, but then I never heard back after the second one. There's talk that they interview a lot of people but mostly hire African Americans. I didn't really believe it until I went to the interview and saw that everyone working there was African American. I tried to get an update, but nobody responded. I don't have a problem with who they choose to hire, but it would be more professional to at least let candidates know they went with someone else. People put a lot of time and money into preparing for interviews, and hiring managers and HR should be more professional and reply to everyone.

It was a really interactive interview! Two leaders interviewed me and made me feel comfy, showing interest in what I could contribute. They were nice enough to explain what would happen next after the interview.
