First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hamad Medical.
Registered Nurse
First, we'll check your credentials to see if you're qualified for the post. You'll usually need 3 years of related experience. Also, you must be eligible under the conditions set by the Qatar Council for Health Specialties. Then, you'll have a panel interview with the Head of the Department. Passing the Qatar-Prometrics is also required. Nclex passers are exempted from the test.
- Can you answer basic nursing questions, particularly concerning international patient safety goals?
Director
They flew me out for the interview and covered hotel accommodation for 2 nights. I had a preliminary phone interview, which was unstructured. The whole process was quite simple. It included a number of meet and greets, a tour of the city and key tourist sights. I was then given basic information about Hamad Medical, and they showed me hospital sites. I was also presented to some Qatari leaders for permission to proceed, as is the norm when recruiting expats. Honestly, the whole process was not what I would have expected for a senior appointment.
- Could you discuss your past experience and the benefits you achieved?
Senior Secretary
You apply online and if HR likes your resume, they give it to the department manager. The department manager will interview you for the 1st and 2nd round. The 3rd round is with HR to discuss salary and benefits. If you want to negotiate your salary, do it with HR. Just so you know, once you join, don't expect any increment or promotion in administrative areas.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your current job and responsibilities?
Supply Chain Officer
It was a normal panel interview process. HR was the last person I spoke to, and they explained the company benefits and made the job offer. I also had the chance to negotiate the offer before accepting it.
- Can you tell me about your background and how it relates to this role?
- What do you consider your greatest professional assets and liabilities?
- How do you manage unforeseen issues that impact the supply chain?
