It was a very laid-back, chatty interview. They told a lot of jokes and the vibe was chill. They asked some weird questions, I guess to see how I'd handle them. They got back to me in 2 working days.

It seemed like Halo was posting jobs they didn't intend to fill. I applied for multiple roles because I liked the company and the opportunities. I interviewed for one specific role that matched my background. The recruiter mentioned she wasn't sure if the role would be filled as posted and couldn't get clear details from hiring managers about what they were actually looking for. It was very confusing.

Behavioral Technical Case Other

After submitting my application, I had a screening call with a recruiter who wanted to chat about my experience, what I can do, and if I'm into the job. Then there was a first-round interview, followed by a technical/functional interview. After that, a behavioral interview. Then, a second-round interview, and after that a case study/presentation. Finally, I had some assessment tests.

It was a really straightforward interview process. The initial phone screen was pretty standard. However, the interview with my direct manager was quite unexpected and made me reconsider the company. He focused a lot on the revenue Halo generates and his perceived significant contribution to it. When I inquired about the company culture, his answer again revolved around the company's financial performance and his involvement in major projects. The recruiter mentioned training opportunities post-hire, but the manager emphasized an immediate start, stating, 'If you are not up to speed after the first week, then you are not being successful.' There was also a lot of talk about 'wearing many hats,' which seemed to imply taking on more responsibilities without additional compensation. The fact that they assigned a task before the interview was a red flag. I ended up using ChatGPT for the assignment, and they were impressed. I was invited for another interview with the team, but I decided to decline.
