First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hallmark Aviation Services.
Customer Service Agent
The interview process was easy. I started with a test covering basic math, basic geography, and an essay. Then, I had an interview with HR. If I passed that, I proceeded to a second interview with the account manager (airline). The entire process took about two weeks, and now I'm starting the job. It was a smooth and simple experience!
- What makes you want to work at the airport?
Customer Service Agent
I put in my application online and then got a call for an interview pretty quickly, maybe a day or two later. After HR screened me, I was asked to come in for an interview at the office. The interview involved a test with different parts: math questions, military time, geography, writing a story with given words, and a matching section. To move forward, you needed to get at least 85% on this test. If you passed, the next step was a formal interview with management where they'd ask about your past jobs and get to know you better. Definitely remember to smile a lot during the interview.
- What makes you interested in working for our company?
- Can you discuss your previous employment experience?
- Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online and a week later I got a phone call for a phone interview. They asked about my background and if I could work all shifts, including holidays and weekends. Then, I was asked to take a test with math problems like subtractions, multiplications, divisions, percentages, and time zone questions (e.g., if it's 5 am in LA, what time is it in Dallas?). It also included matching cities to states. After that, we were put in a room and then called in to see if we passed the test. If we did, we immediately had a face-to-face interview with someone from Hallmark's HR team. I was selected for an interview with an airline, but I didn't get the offer because I didn't know the required languages (Korean/Japanese/Mandarin). Honestly, I don't think I should have even been interviewed by an airline that I obviously wouldn't be hired by since I didn't meet their language requirements.
- Can you share a negative personal quality?
- Are you available to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends?
- What is the time in Dallas, TX when it's 5 am in Los Angeles, CA?
