I live in Beijing but am from Chicago. I saw Hainan Airlines was hiring foreign flight attendants. Even though I missed the deadline, I emailed my resume. About two weeks later, I got a call for an impromptu phone interview. They asked about handling pressure and turning negative situations positive. It was pretty straightforward. Then, I was invited for a face-to-face interview. We had a height test and took a picture. They started with a company presentation, and we had to listen because there was a quiz afterward. Then, we were put into groups to work on a scenario. The final part was an individual face-to-face interview. The catch is a 3-year contract and 3 months of training, plus only 2 free flights a year. I passed on it!
