Standard interview questions for an entry level role. They asked hypothetical questions on how I would handle certain situations and questions on any past customer service experience. Also asked about physical lifting ability for the role.
- Can you lift 50 pounds or more?
Customer Service Representative
The hiring process began with submitting an application on the Albertsons website. After that, I received a phone call from a store employee, and we arranged an interview with one of the supervisors. It was a really relaxed and comfortable interview. The supervisor then brought in the assistant manager, and we talked about my availability for shifts, the number of hours I expected, my pay expectations, and potential career growth within the company. They also mentioned it's a union position, which involves weekly union dues of approximately $11, but in return, the union provides excellent health benefits.
- Could you tell me why you're interested in working here?
- What's your definition of excellent customer service?
- Can you share an instance where you experienced top-notch customer service?
Sales Associate
I went in person to see if they were hiring for the floral desk and spoke with the manager. Then I went back in to hand over my resume. The manager called later to set up an interview. It was a one on one that went great and was easy because I had more experience than the manager. She was really impressed and basically hired me right then. Then I was asked to come back for a group interview with other managers. I got hired and they welcomed me to the team.
- Did I know how to use the P.O.S. system?
