I had a 30-minute phone screen with an HR recruiter. It was a pretty bad experience. The recruiter was late and seemed totally uninterested. She said I'd hear back in 24-72 hours, but I didn't hear anything for over a month. When she finally got back to me, she said I wasn't a fit for any open roles and they weren't moving forward with my application. I guess it's good she let me know, but it was unprofessional and disrespectful of my time because it was so different from what she originally said would happen. I probably won't apply to Hagerty again after this.

First was a phone screening with a recruiter, it was really easy and only involved some simple behavioral questions. The second round was with the hiring manager, and they just asked questions about my resume and projects. You should just go through your resume and be ready to talk about your experience.

The interview process felt unprofessional, disorganized, and not very communicative. The phone interviews with Hagerty reps were short (30 minutes) and they were late for every one. HR didn't show up for the first two scheduled interviews and only contacted me after the scheduled time to reschedule. It was strange that both interviews were by phone and only lasted 30 minutes. The hiring manager for the program seemed unsure about the next steps, and any answers about timing were vague. I had to look up the manager beforehand and discovered he had only been with Hagerty for a few months.

I submitted my application online and a few days later got an email to set up an interview. First, I had a phone call with a recruiter where we talked about the job and what I was looking for. It was mostly just to give me information. Then, about two days after that, I had a Zoom interview with two people who work there. They asked me more detailed questions about my past experience, but it wasn't too hard. Right after that interview, the recruiter called me and said I should get an offer by the end of the day. I got the offer, checked it out, and signed it. Then they asked for my references, which I gave them. Two weeks passed and I didn't have a start date, so I asked the recruiter. His assistant told me to hang tight. Another two weeks later, I followed up again. The person I spoke to said the client was slow with finalizing things and they'd let me know if anything changed. About two weeks after that, I got a call from the same person saying the client had changed their mind about priorities.
