First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HAECO Americas.
A&P Mechanic
The hiring process felt very aggressive, almost as if they weren't genuinely looking to hire externally and preferred internal candidates. The HR department seemed disorganized, but the main issues were with the project managers.
- In situations where there's pressure to skip steps, how would you manage that?
Quality Control
It took forever for the company to get back to me, like I had to chase them down through emails and calls to get a response. But, the people I eventually connected with were actually really nice.
- What is your expected salary range?
Mechanical Design Engineer
The hiring process started with two phone calls that were really relaxed and mostly about getting to know me and my personality. They didn't ask super technical stuff, but they did inquire about my technical interests and relevant experience. Following those calls, I had an onsite interview with four people who had different levels of experience, which was a good experience. They spent some time asking about me and my thoughts on the company, but the majority of the time was dedicated to explaining the company's objectives and the kind of atmosphere they aim for, which is like a family environment. It was a great experience!
- Could you share any technical interests you pursue outside of your academic work?
Aviation Maintenance Technician
I was contacted by an HR rep who arranged a group interview with three managers. They were very welcoming and got straight to the point, asking about my aviation experience to see if I'd be a good fit.
- Tell me about your aviation background.
- How confident are you with the responsibilities of this job?
