I applied through Indeed and got contacted by the HR Assistant for my availability. We had a 30-min phone screen for the Graphic Designer role which went really well. Then, I was scheduled for a video call interview with the Director of Creative Services 2 days later. Both conversations were positive and engaging. They asked very basic questions. I asked if they had any concerns about my experience, and they said no. I waited 2 weeks for a response, and when I followed up, I never heard back. It seemed like they lost interest once they realized I'm African American and not Jewish, which was disappointing. I expected better respect at this recruitment level. It ruined my excitement for the company, especially since they seem to value kindness, honesty, and inclusivity, which I didn't feel when they ghosted me.

This is an executive level position so I was expecting professionalism, but I didn't get it. I have more experience than the job description listed, which made the experience even more interesting. I met with the Chief HR Officer and the CEO in person. About 10 minutes into the interview, the HR person lost interest and became aloof and confrontational. While I was talking to the CEO, he got up, opened the door, and cut our time short. He went back in and shut the door after I shook his hand, so I let myself out. It's clear I wasn't the right fit, but the unprofessionalism was overwhelming. Additionally, it was clear they weren't interested once they realized I'm not Jewish. I understand, but respect is essential when working with candidates at this level. After leaving, I read reviews and noticed internal challenges. I wanted to share my experience because I've never encountered anything like it.

First, I had to fill out an online application. After that, I was invited to complete two online assessment tests. The first one (Part A) was a cognitive test that included numerical, verbal, and abstract reasoning sections. The second test (Part B) was a working style assessment. Finally, there was an on-demand video interview (Part C).

I applied online. I had a phone interview and also interviewed in person at Hadassah in October. The interview with the recruiter and the attorneys went well, I thought. But I haven't heard back even though I've reached out. I really think they're searching for someone perfect who doesn't exist, given the job has been posted since September.
