Customer Success Manager
The interview journey kicked off with a Recruiter Screen, followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager. Then there was a CS Leadership Interview, and after that, a Recruiter follow-up. The final step was a Values interview. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and clear, making it a really good experience.
- I liked the values interview where we got to learn about HackerRank's culture.
Customer Success Manager
I went through a few rounds of interviews. First, a screen, then the hiring manager, followed by two peer interviews, and finally a director interview. The whole process took about 5 hours. Everyone was really nice and the interviews were pretty conversational. I waited two weeks after the interviews to hear back, and then I got a standard rejection email.
- What research have you done on me?
- Tell me about your research habits.
Customer Success Manager
It was quite shocking to see such a complicated hiring process from a company aiming to revolutionize recruitment. We didn't have a recruitment portal, so I had to share my resume via LinkedIn. The initial discussion was with someone who was leaving soon and whose replacement this role was for, which wasn't disclosed. They also didn't mention the required years of experience, only to say during an in-person meeting that they were looking for someone more experienced. During the interview, the potential manager for the CSM group was distracted, busy writing emails, and was rude and unprofessional, which negatively impacted my perception of HackerRank. It's unfair to ask someone to travel for an in-person interview only to reveal there's no clear job description. I'm sharing this feedback not to warn others but in hopes of immediate improvements.
- Describe your process as a CSM when you are assigned a new account.
