I initially hesitated to apply because Hacker Group's role structure is unusual; the Account Executive handles Account Manager duties and vice versa. After applying online, HR contacted me two weeks later for an immediate phone interview that lasted only about five minutes. They asked about my understanding of the role, my qualifications, and my salary expectations. I wished the phone screen had been more thorough, but the HR person admitted they didn't have much information about the position. A few weeks later, I was invited for an in-person interview at their office with four team members. The interview itself was adequate. My overall impression was that the job is high-stress and the coworkers aren't very friendly. Based on their responses to my questions, it seemed like people there weren't happy working at the company. They asked about my background and my interest in Hacker Group, but many questions focused on conflict resolution and managing challenging personalities. I never heard back from them post-interview. I realized this company wasn't the right fit for me and I'm not disappointed about not receiving an offer. However, it would have been courteous to receive some feedback, especially considering I invested four hours in meetings with them.

Started with emails where they liked my cover letter and asked for more info on my qualifications. Sent me 6 questions about my industry experience to answer in one paragraph - I guess that was the first 'interview.' Then a recruiter called for more details about my background. I used the STAR method with specific examples. After that, I had several hours of in-person interviews with different people. They called within 48 hours saying they were interested in making an offer, pending background and reference checks. Got the offer the next business day. Hacker Group people are direct and think fast, so be ready with clear, direct answers.

I found this job posting online, applied, and heard back pretty quickly, within a week or two. First, I had a phone screening with a recruiter that lasted about 30 minutes. They talked about the job's responsibilities and some basic stuff to make sure I could handle the requirements. Since they were happy with my answers, they moved me forward. A few days later, another recruiter contacted me by phone and email to set up an in-person interview. I went in, and it lasted about an hour and a half. They mentioned they'd be in touch soon, and I actually got an offer email by the time I got home.

Had a phone chat with the Creative Director, it was short and pretty chill. Then went in person to meet with 4 senior creatives who seemed to really get the company and vibe. Talking to a few different people was great for getting tons of my questions answered and seeing if things lined up.
