First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at H.O. Penn Machinery.
Mechanic Welder
I had a really good experience interviewing with this company. They have a chill vibe and the interview questions weren't tricky or hard to understand, very straightforward. I felt good about the whole thing and hope they'll give me an offer.
- Can you share an instance from your past work where you encountered an issue and explain the steps you took to fix it?
Staff Accountant
The interview process was pretty standard. I had my initial over the phone interview the the HR recruiter which was about 15-30 minutes. I was given a timeline that I should expect to hear from her again, and she was right within the time frame. The in-person interview was then scheduled within that next week. The interview itself felt very standard with the questions that were asked. A lot of the questions were tailored towards what the company as a whole felt was important and then also job specific questions as well.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Parts
This interview process was not rewarding and felt like a waste of time because they already had a preselected candidate. I've interviewed several times for different jobs there before, and I won't go back again. If they aren't interested in a candidate for any reason, they should give a heads-up to avoid wasting people's time, money, and fuel for multiple unproductive appointments.
- What are you doing here?
Training Administrator
The interview process may seem difficult and contain multiple parts. You may be given exercises to test your strengths and abilities. It was tough, but in the end it is all worth it.
- Tell me about your experience balancing workload when facing multiple deadlines.
