Area Sales Manager
The interview process involved an introduction, an HR round, a Regional Round, and a National Head round. Then there was document verification, checking with old employees, and back-end verification. It was conducted both online and offline, with a skill test and an analytical skills test. Finally, there were questions specific to the job.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you describe your experience with HR?
- How would you approach the Regional level?
Product Manager
First, you'll have an HR round, which is pretty standard. If you have an engineering background, you can probably win them over easily. The next stage is with a senior product management manager who will mainly assess your analytical skills and general product management awareness. They might seem friendly, but it's a tactic to get to know you better through informal conversation, where people tend to be more genuine. Finally, there's a round with the MD, HR, and Head PM. This is where they evaluate your leadership abilities, brand management and strategy development skills, how you handle risk management situations, your teamwork, and your fit with Hafele's culture, including salary expectations. This round is usually quite long, over 1.5 hours. Since the MD is German, be clear and concise in your answers.
- As a PM, what would be your initial action to boost sales for our X brand, which is currently underperforming in the southern region?
Sales Manager
It was a 3 round process. First was with HR, where they asked about my personal details and my roles and responsibilities with my current employer, BLUE STAR LTD. Then, I had a round with the Reporting Manager where we discussed roles and responsibilities, the detailed job description, and challenges I might face with this new job. Finally, I spoke with the National Sales Manager about the new role and designation and how I can add value to the new job.
- Could you describe your core competencies and how you believe you can contribute value to our organization, drawing upon your current work experience?
- What strategies would you employ to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities within this new market?
Territory Manager
The interview process had 3 rounds. First was a technical round, then a commercial round, and the last was with HR. I had to submit a 30-60-90 day plan and a business plan for the role, which involved project sales and selling their full product range to various client types. I also had to develop distinct market targeting strategies.
- They asked specific questions about my credibility and how I would add value to the organization.
- I was asked to submit a 30-60-90 day plan.
- I was required to submit a business plan for the opening, focusing on project sales and selling their entire product line to different client categories.
