H.B. Fuller General Intern Interview Questions
& Process

It was a pretty easy resume walkthrough with some follow-up questions about my answers. The recruiter was pretty casual for an interview, which made it feel comfortable. I'm unsure about further down in the process, but the first round interview had no technical questions.

The interview process had two distinct parts. First, I spoke with HR. It was a casual chat where they wanted to understand my background beyond my resume, my degree, and why I'm passionate about the area. They also asked about my career plans and if they fit with the company's goals. They were also interested in my current life situation, how I handle stress, and what keeps me motivated to ensure I'm doing well personally and performing at a high level. Second, I met with the Hiring Manager. This was more hands-on. The main part was a case study where I explained a tough problem I dealt with, the strategies I used, and the results. We also talked about my ideas for the future of the area and how I’d handle real-world issues. It felt like they were checking my cultural fit and my ability to deliver results.

I talked with two senior people from H.B. Fuller. It was like a general chat about my coursework and personality, and what I do on campus. We just talked about where I'm at in school and life, and my goals. They also asked why I thought I'd fit and enjoy the position and why I'd want to work at the company.
