Teacher
It was a friendly chat, honest questions. The interview had multiple people, usually admins and other teachers. You need to be professional and ready for all sorts of questions. Bring some lesson examples and stories about tough situations. They also asked what coworkers would say about me.
- What would your former colleagues say regarding your performance?
- Can you share an example of a lesson you've prepared?
- Tell me about a challenging situation you've faced and how you handled it.
Elementary ESOL Teacher
You'll meet with the Principal first, and then another supervising AP will join in. They'll ask you a bunch of questions about classroom and behavior stuff. You should hear back within a week or two. It's a pretty standard process.
- What are your thoughts on typical teaching interview questions?
Special Education Teacher
The interview process started with an initial meeting with the principal, focusing on general questions. Following that, there was another interview with the special education assistant principal, where they discussed typical classroom scenarios and questions specifically about the IEP process.
- What's your preferred way of managing a classroom?
- Could you tell me about your approach to classroom management?
- What are your thoughts on the IEP process?
Transportation
You'll have a phone interview and then an in-person one. They do a really deep background check, looking at your driving record all over the country, and you get to talk about anything that comes up.
- Will I have a chance to explain any issues found on my driving record or background check?
