It was a really conversational interview where I got to know the manager and hear more about Gustave Larson and the job. I was super impressed with how organized and efficient their branches are.

The process was good, the manager was friendly and everything was very professional. I had to go back in for a second interview with the GM and then they said they would get back to me on a job offer since only the owners could approve a hire. A week later I got the call.

The phone interview seemed to go well for 30 minutes, although the interviewer was in her car. The Talent Acquisition rep said she'd call me back in 2 days for the next step and made me feel like they were really interested. However, I never heard back after I tried following up by phone and two emails. I found her lack of professionalism to be a poor reflection of the company.

The interview process felt like it was all one-way, which made it hard to know where I stood. There was a lot of focus on a culture index. It felt good to get through it though. It’s usually nice when the interview feels like a two-way conversation, but this one didn't.
