First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gurstel Law Firm, P.C..
Attorney
The HR department was very organized and the telephonic interview was smooth. They provide a safe environment, the questions were made to bring the best in the candidate, and the questions were genuinely tailored to get to know the person. Then rapidly ensued a meeting with the Managing Director of the Scottsdale branch. Very human, friendly, down to earth, accepting and believing in the candidate’s potential. The final interview was with the big Boss, the CEO of the firm, along with other key players such as the Director of my Department. The CEO has the best sense of humor and could relate on various levels. During the entire process, it didn't feel like an interview at all. They're interested in finding out if the interviewee would be grateful for the opportunity to join their "family". Emphasized the opportunity for good training and top of the line resources.

Paralegal
I met with 2 leads over video conference. It was a pleasant and relaxed meeting. They asked the usual uncomfortable behavioral questions like: Tell me about your biggest failure and what it taught you. Describe a time you made a mistake and how you dealt with it. What was a task that was too challenging for you, and how did you overcome it?
- What is your motivation for seeking this position?
- Tell me about a time you made an error and how you managed it.
- Describe an assignment that proved too difficult for you and your approach to resolving it.
Recruiter
I had a first interview with someone from HR, then a second interview with one of the attorneys. He was rude, abrasive, and pre-occupied with his next meeting. He asked questions that someone from HR wouldn't typically ask. It was a Teams call, and I felt like he didn't like what he saw.
- Questions about something completely unrelated to the job.
- Questions about something completely unrelated to the job I applied for.
Accounting Clerk
Theres quite a few questions, I thought it was a lot for the seniority and how not complex the role is. The interviewer did give some insight into the job though. I didnt get any feedback afterwards.
