First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gursey | Schneider.
QA Analyst
I have only completed the initial screening so far, but I was told there will be an assessment after that. If I pass the interview, they can move forward with generating an offer.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience in this area?
Tax Intern
The first interview was by phone, and it was exciting but at the same time scary.
- Why did you choose tax?
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why did you choose this position?
Network Engineer
The interview process kicked off with a quick HR screening where they covered the basics of the job, highlighting the hybrid nature of the role, but not much beyond the job description, which is pretty standard for HR. We also discussed the salary range. They mentioned the previous network admin left about 3 months ago. Then, I had an initial interview with the supervisor, which involved technical questions about the environment, a discussion about the job responsibilities, and some situational questions. It went pretty well, so they set up another interview with the sysadmin who was covering networking temporarily. This sysadmin asked some basic troubleshooting questions and about my background. However, they seemed a bit confused by some of my questions, like about using vPCs for their Cisco switches in the data center, and didn't give a clear answer about network access control without me asking follow-up questions. Ultimately, I didn't move forward, and they gave the usual vague reason that they were pursuing other candidates.
- How would you go about troubleshooting a network connectivity issue?
Recruiting Coordinator
I applied online and a recruiter reached out for a phone screening. They mentioned a video interview for the next week, but I never heard back.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your current role?
