First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa.
Front Desk Receptionist
It was a good experience overall. I had two interviews, one with the HR manager and another with the front desk manager. The interviews were behavioral and focused on my background and previous work experience. No technical questions were asked.
- Tell me about yourself.
Sales Associate
I had a conversation with the Head of the Spa Department. They were very welcoming and friendly, and made the interview feel conversational and transparent about the role's requirements. The discussion focused on my relevant experience, rather than behavioral questions.
- Do you have previous sales experience?
Food and Beverage Intern
I had an in-person interview with the general manager and one of the food and beverage managers, who also happened to be an alum from my school. It was pretty straightforward with some behavioral questions and others to check if I did my research on them and was genuinely interested. Mostly, they wanted to know about me, my past experiences, my skills, and why I wanted to work there.
- Why would you be a good fit for this position?
