First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Gulf Winds International.
Staff Accountant
I had a phone chat with HR on 12/17/24 and then got a behavioral assessment to finish. After that, I interviewed with the Hiring Managers on 1/6/25. I found out on 1/13 that I didn't get the job. The HR recruiter was nice enough to give me some feedback about how the interview went, which I appreciated since I'd never gotten feedback before.
- How do you handle multiple deadlines?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
Software Engineer
This interview was short and felt like a waste of time. The interviewer recorded it for the company's use, and it seemed like they already had a specific candidate in mind. The whole process felt like it was for their benefit, not genuinely to find the best person.
- Can you describe some of the projects you've worked on before?
Finance Manager
I had a call with HR, then a final interview with the CEO and a group of directors. I was given a paper to write about my education and experience. During the interview, HR and the CEO questioned my suitability for the position due to my age, despite my many years of experience in a similar capacity, including performance reviews, awards, and certifications. They offered me a different designation than my current role, which I didn't feel good about. I felt my time was wasted and they should have inquired about my age during the initial call to avoid shortlisting me.
- Can you elaborate on your experience and education?
- Tell us about your background, including your education and experience.
- What do you know about our company?
Logistics Coordinator
First there was a computer skills test for excel, email, 10 key, and typing that lasted about 30 minutes. After the test, I had a face to face interview with a couple of the hiring managers.
- Tell me about your strengths.
- What about your weaknesses?
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
