I sent in my application online via the company's website. After that, I uploaded my portfolio and CV. Soon after, they reached out to schedule a video interview. Later, I had to do a small design task. Finally, I had the last interview with the creative director.

Behavioral Technical Other

First, I spoke with someone from a consulting firm twice. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager. The interview with the manager was bad; they were arrogant. It turned out the consultant didn't really understand what the company was looking for, which was also an error on the part of the HR person.

Behavioral Case Presentation

I applied via a recruiter. There seemed to be a disconnect between what the recruiter was looking for and what the hiring manager wanted; the recruiter focused on general analytical skills, while the hiring manager sought deep industry knowledge. The case study during the interview felt unnecessary for this role.

Behavioral Technical

The interview is a structured process focusing on technical expertise and behavioral skills. It starts with an HR screening, followed by technical rounds assessing knowledge of lubricants, additives, and problem-solving. A leadership round evaluates team management and decision-making. Finally, compensation and role details are discussed. The process ensures alignment with Valvoline's values and expectations.
