Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guitar Center.
Operations Assistant
After the interview, I waited about two weeks to start working. The interview itself was straightforward and relaxed, with the interviewers being very accommodating, professional, and friendly. They generally offer minimum wage for entry-level roles and were quite flexible regarding scheduling.
- What motivated you to apply to our company?
Operations
I'm an operations person with radio/tv expertise. This gave me an edge because I knew how to use a lot of equipment and got hired. Do I really need to write 30 words?
- Were you involved in music professionally?
- Did your background include radio or television work?
Operations Assistant
The first interview was good. I went in and answered some questions about why I wanted to work there and what I liked as far as music goes. It was about a 20-25 minute process.
- How do you record audio in FL Studio?
- What kind of music do you like?
