Talent Acquisition
Started with some preliminary calls over the phone and then moved to teams/zoom. Then there was a full day in the office, which included lunch and back-to-back one-on-one interviews. Everyone was really nice and gracious. My main issue was not getting enough time to ask my own questions. Each interview was fully taken up by the interviewer asking me questions, and then the next person would come in. This continued all day, to the point I had to ask if I could take a bathroom break. They weren't annoyed, but I thought at least one of them might have offered a break or water. It was fun though, and I met great people. I didn't get an offer and I wish they had told me why since I thought I was a good fit, maybe even overqualified, but knowing why would have been appreciated. Feedback is always good for candidates. I was a bit down at first because I liked the company and people, but trusting in God's plan makes me at peace with the outcome. I'm grateful because what came next was exactly what I needed.
- Given that your profile is excellent and you're the first candidate we're interviewing, potentially saving us from interviewing others, what reasons do you have for us not to cancel the rest of the interviews?
Marketing
I have interviewed all the way to the final round of interviews with this company twice now. The final round ends up being in person with 4 plus rounds of interviews. This last time after that round they requested I give feedback on the results of a campaign they had run. Only to find out that I wasn’t selected because I was being interviewed against an internal candidate that was on the team I was interviewing for and the reason I didn’t get it is because they knew the company better. It honestly made me so sad because the company seemed like such a faith and family first culture but this experience just doesn’t align.

Customer Relations Specialist
I had a phone screen with 5 people first, which was wild. Then I went in for an interview. The HR person talked about the benefits. After that, I met with two guys for about 40 minutes; one was nice, the other not so much. They showed me around the department I applied for. Then, I was surprised to interview with two more men who seemed to be higher up. They seemed okay. I left feeling like I did great and they said I'd hear from them soon. About a week went by with no word, so I reached out. I was told I wasn't selected.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
- How would you handle different scenarios?
- Do you believe in God?
Marketing Director
I had two interviews - the first was a phone call with HR, and the second was over Zoom with people from the marketing department. The job description/title didn't match the role I was actually interviewing for, which I only found out during the second interview, making things really tough. They weren't super friendly or helpful during the interviews either. I'd definitely suggest more clarity on roles and better communication between departments.
