The recruiting team initially reached out to set up a technical interview. This interview involved two brain teaser questions and some basic conceptual and SQL questions. After that, I had three separate interviews with managers. These were all behavioral and had some technical elements. During this whole time, a recruiter never contacted me directly. Once all the interviews were done, I waited about two weeks to hear back. I followed up twice, and then finally a recruiter got in touch, saying they thought a recruiter from another department was handling me. That was the first red flag. I then did another interview for a different role and had to wait a week after that to hear back from the recruiter for that role. That recruiter then told me they wouldn't be making an offer because of my salary expectations, which is a weird reason. The recruiter also mentioned they thought the original team I applied to was going to reach out again. So, I contacted the first recruiter and haven't heard anything since. The interviews themselves weren't too bad, but the recruiting process was really awful.

After submitting my application online, I had a brief technical assessment call with a consultant. They asked me two brain teaser questions. I didn't feel great about my performance, but I suspect they were more focused on my problem-solving approach than my final answers. Following that, I went through three 30-minute interviews with managers and directors. A significant portion of these interviews involved them discussing the company. I was also asked some questions about my past experiences, primarily behavioral in nature. Finally, I had a 30-minute call with a partner, where I was encouraged to ask questions about their roles and the company. I was offered the position a few days later, but I decided to decline it.

Applied online and got an email from a recruiter for a 15-minute technical phone screening with basic ML questions. Then had back-to-back video interviews with two managing consultants and a director, mixing personal, technical, and conversation. Finished with a partner interview that was conversational and focused on my questions about the company, role, and business. Interviews were enjoyable and technically sound, but the recruiting team was unresponsive, requiring follow-ups. The partner even commented on their slowness, which was accurate. It's been a month since the last interview and no formal response yet. The whole process took a month, was challenging enough, but dealing with recruiters was disappointing.
