First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Guardian Pharmacy.
Director of Sales and Marketing
It was a six week interview process that included 11 interviews over phone, Zoom, and in-person, with two of those interviews happening at their corporate office. On top of that, there were three lengthy assessment tests, one of which involved Algebra. Then, I spent a half-day at their office meeting with staff, only to be rejected for not having formal clinical experience, which they knew from the start. The recruiter at Guardian kept me interested by saying I was the 'top candidate,' but it wasn't true; they already had someone with healthcare experience in mind and were vetting that person the whole time. They completely wasted my time. I found the whole process with Guardian to be disingenuous. Beware!
- Do you have any healthcare or clinical experience?
Human Resources Administrative Assistant
Got a call from the recruiter 6 days after applying. We scheduled a phone interview, and then I had an in-person interview later that week. The in-person interview felt really conversational, which helped me relax and be myself. I met with a manager and a VP I'd be working with directly. It lasted two hours, and I enjoyed meeting them. The next week, the recruiter called again to say they were interested in checking my references, which they did. She also wanted to set up another meeting with the rest of the team I'd be working with. I thought that was a great idea and enjoyed meeting them too. Something really interesting was that I was sent an assessment to complete before my second interview. At that second interview, I met with an HR Organizational Development Manager who discussed my assessment with me in detail. I was very impressed with their professionalism. Later that evening, I got a call with a job offer, which I accepted. My start date was set for three weeks later because of the holidays. This employer gets 5 stars for a great interview process. I'm excited to contribute!
- Considering your sales background, what makes you want to start in an entry-level role?
HR Coordinator
So, first there was the standard recruiter call. Then, I had a phone interview scheduled for an hour with the senior director. It was pretty weird because as soon as she picked up, I knew it was a no-go. She sounded like she didn't want to be on the call, didn't introduce herself or the role, barely answered my questions, and then rushed me off after only 15 minutes. The call was supposed to be an hour long, but it was obvious they'd already made up their minds before we even started talking. Got the rejection email a few hours later. It’d be nice if companies were more considerate and didn’t waste our time.
- What motivates your interest in working for Guardian Pharmacy?
Finance Director
I went through three phone screenings with different people. After that, I had to do a test on my aptitude and behaviors. The third call with the VP of Operations was really quick and it felt like they didn't really want to talk to me. After that third call, I heard nothing back and I never got my assessment results.
