First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GUARD Insurance.
Claims
The interview was with a manager who was nice, sharp, and easy to talk to. They took the time to go over the job details. I think it would be a good fit if I got the chance.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
Claims Associate
The whole thing was one phone interview and then a group interview. The phone interview was short, just to see if I knew about the company. The group interview was with the manager at the local office, plus three other people who were higher up (an HR person, the Claims Director, and the Associate VP of Claims).
- Basic questions about your knowledge of work comp and the company.
- Questions about what you learned in your college insurance classes.
- Given a list of tasks, how would you order them by importance to reflect the day-to-day operations?
Engineer
The process is typical. Questions are straightforward. It's a standard procedure. Not much is required, and no specific preparation is needed. If you know your material, you'll do fine. Ask good questions.
- Can you tell me about your most challenging project?
Claims Adjuster
I applied online and then got a phone call for an in-person interview. The questions asked weren't actually related to the job at all, like pretty much anyone could have been prepared for them.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
