So basically, no initial phone screen. The recruiter just emailed me to set up a 45 min chat with a staff member and the division manager. They were pretty generous with time for questions.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

First, there was a quick call with HR to go over my background and stuff, and they told me about the company culture. Then, I had to do a technical task that was specific to the job and talk about how I'd approach it with the hiring manager. It was a good way to show what I can do. Lastly, I chatted with some of the senior leaders and team members. This part was more about seeing if I'd fit in with the team, what my future goals are, and if I'm on the same page as the company's big picture. They wanted to make sure I'd be a good addition to the group.

You start by applying, usually with a resume/CV and maybe a cover letter. Then, they might do an initial screening, which could be a quick call or an online form, just to check if you meet the basic requirements. After that, you'll likely have a first interview with a recruiter or hiring manager. This is where they talk about your background, skills, and why you're interested in the job and company. It's also your chance to ask questions. For technical roles, expect a technical assessment, like a coding test, case study, design task, or a hands-on assignment.

So, first I had an HR screen, then I chatted with the hiring manager. After that, there was an onsite interview where I met with people from the department and also from other departments that work with us. The whole experience up to that point was really pleasant. The only weird part was after the onsite, they totally ghosted me. No call, no email, nothing to say they picked someone else, which I thought was really unprofessional, especially since they said they'd get back to me by a certain time.
