Had a phone chat with HR. They were pretty vague about the company and what the job actually involves. The only question related to the job was if I had Clean Room experience. I had to do some Googling to find out about the company and its products.

It was a really thorough process. They wanted to understand my capabilities and looked for people with innovative ideas and a connection to Solar, LED, and Consumer Electronics. The interviews were with senior people in the company and felt very informal. There weren't any scripted questions, just a good discussion about market opportunities and my past relevant experience.

My previous coworker got me hired at GT and gave me the inside scoop on how to apply. After I sent in my application, I heard back within two weeks. They first gave me a phone interview to see if I was a good fit for an in-person interview with a GT manager. After that interview, I was told my orientation and start date on the very same day.
