First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GSE Solutions.
Software Engineer
The interview process was really nice and they worked with my schedule. I felt pretty comfortable answering questions and it wasn't too stressful. The whole thing wrapped up in about 1 to 2 weeks.
- How would you design pseudo code to save a user's past passwords in a database?
Nuclear Engineer
I had a bunch of interviews all on the same day. Everyone I met was really friendly, helpful, and nice. I got to chat with some of the other engineers and also the CEO and management. They asked some technical stuff but it was mostly just talking.
- What's a main strategy for developing new programs or simulations?
Engineer
So the process was like, we had a short trip to staging, and then a talk. They explained what they wanted me to work on. Then they described the project. This happened multiple times, like a short trip to staging, then a talk, explanation of the work, and project description.
- What are your long term goals?
Systems Engineer
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. I met with a senior engineer and the manager. They wanted to see my experience with simulation tools and asked about my background in software or system development. Understanding thermal systems and FEM models was a key part of the discussion.
- Tell me about your experience designing real-time simulation models.
