First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at GS Engineering & Construction.
Supervisor
The interview process was worth the wait. Due to a high volume of staffing needs, the interview wasn't too long, typically involving questions about previous projects and your work history. Other aspects like workplace expectations and salary needs were discussed later on. It was a good interview, and I'd recommend others consider this company. For new oil and gas projects, they often have many openings for construction professionals.
- In past projects, how did you fulfill your job demands and responsibilities?
Project Engineer
The interview process was good. It was a mix of HR and Technical interviews. HR focused on negotiation, while Technical interviews covered past experience and leadership qualities. They also asked about knowledge of useful software, basic project management concepts, and cost control. They have a good system in place, which made the process very smooth.
- Can you share an instance where you resolved an issue between different disciplines and what your role was in that resolution?
Accounting
The interview process involved two rounds. The first round was a manager's interview that included a university major test, a group debate, and presentations. The second round was an interview with the CEO. Additionally, there was a humanity and intelligence test.
- What motivates your application to our company?
- In a scenario where you receive another job offer, would you still consider joining us?
- What makes you believe that GS is the premier choice in Korea?
Construction Manager
The interview process involved a first round focused on job knowledge and skills, which also included a technical assessment. Following that, there was a health check and an English language interview. The second interview, conducted by executives, was to assess personality. I only took part in the first interview, which was very challenging.
