I was contacted by GrowthPlug's senior recruiter, Jessica, via email about the Customer Success Representative position. She was my point person for the initial recruiter call where she gave me the lowdown on the company and the job. She was super nice and really made me want the role. Next, I chatted with the COO over Zoom for a quick interview to go over my background and my interest. The last interview was with the CEO, who dug into why I wanted the job, how I'd be a good fit, and also asked personal questions about my life and who I am. I liked that he wanted to understand my personality and goals better. The whole thing, a 3-step process, was pretty fast, and I appreciated how responsive the GrowthPlug team was. Jessica was a big help throughout, keeping me encouraged and turning my nerves into excitement. She checked in after every interview to see how it went and was always available for my questions. It was a really positive interview experience overall because I felt like they genuinely wanted to know me and see me succeed.

I applied online for the Front End Developer position at GrowthPlug Application, focusing on React Development. The whole thing from applying to getting the offer took about a month. Applying on their careers page was pretty straightforward. After about a week, the Talent acquisition team reached out via email to get me started with interviews. First up was a Front-end development assignment that I had a week to complete, which felt like the main initial hurdle. I got it done and sent it back within the week. Next, I had a phone interview with the technical folks, all about React JS, which is what I'm doing now. They asked medium-level questions, and the chat went on for over an hour. A couple of days later, I hopped on Skype for calls with some other teams, and the final round was with the senior management team based in the US. A month after I started, I received the offer letter. Overall, I'd say the interview process was moderately difficult. You really need to know your stuff and the tech well, plus understand the company's vision and goals. The candidate experience was good.

I was contacted by email and scheduling was a breeze; they even accommodated my current work schedule. My first chat was with the Inside Sales Director and it was great – really engaging and I felt genuinely welcomed. The second round, a 20-minute call with the COO, felt less personal, like I was just going through a checklist and it was tough to connect. The third interview with the CEO was with a nice person but they were monotone and not very enthusiastic, making it hard to stay energized. Like the second interview, it felt like they were just reading questions from a list, and there wasn't much to gauge my actual fit for the role. They kept asking about my salary expectations but didn't clearly explain the position's offerings until the very end, which led me to ask for a higher base salary than perhaps I should have, given the commission structure. After that, I didn't follow up and never heard back. I think the second and third interviews could have been more tailored and less like a Q&A session.

The interview was kinda average to difficult. First, I had an interview with the technical Lead, then they gave me a django rest framework task to complete. I did the task by myself. Two weeks later, I got a call and they set up my next technical round. I passed that and then had a final interview with the CEO. They tried to schedule it three times, but the CEO was too busy. After that, I asked about it, and the hr told me to attend another interview (walk-in drive). I went and cleared the first round, but got rejected on the next level.
