The interview process involved several rounds with long gaps and minimal updates. A particularly unusual part was the group interviews where I met people who would potentially be my direct reports, which felt quite awkward. They should really work on improving how they communicate throughout the hiring process.

We had two interviews, each about an hour long, over Google Meet. The first one was to check out my skills, and the second one was to see how I'd handle different situations. They asked about 10 questions in each interview. Everyone was really nice.

The interview process lasted about two weeks. I had a Google Meet with HR, then completed an assessment test. After that, I met with two team members. HR requested my references. They took a while to get back to me, and then they rejected me without a clear reason. It felt misleading and unfair to ask for references only to reject the candidate.

There were two rounds with my direct supervisor and the director. In each round, there were two people on the zoom call. One person asked the questions while the other took notes. It seemed like they were trying to figure out a lot of different aspects of the role.
