Marketing Copywriter
The interview journey started with an initial chat with HR/recruiter. Then, I had an in-person meeting with the Director of Marketing and some key team members. After that, there was a writing assignment or sample task. This was followed by an interview with the whole team, and finally, a concluding meeting with the CEO. I really enjoyed the interview process overall. The team was super helpful, answering all my questions, being flexible with scheduling due to my commute, and keeping me in the loop. The only hiccup was at the very end with the final decision; I was told certain skills and experience weren't crucial for the role, but it turned out those were exactly what the other candidate brought to the table. Despite that, it was a great experience, and I would have been thrilled to join them. I'd totally recommend checking it out.
- Can you walk me through your research methodology for content creation and how you ensure the accuracy of your sources?
Data Consultant
The whole process was long winded. The first step is a phone interview. It's just the basic questions with the HR rep. If you pass that then they have you create an account with Grow and create 5 metrics. If they are pleased with what you've come up with they send you a spreadsheet and have you create 5 additional metrics based on that data. If you pass that then you meet for an in person interview with managers. If you pass that then you meet with the VP. The interview with the managers was a little unprofessional. First they were about 15 minutes late. One manager did all the talking and the other sat there and didn't say anything. The manager who did talk kept saying, "This isn't going to be a normal interview, I want it to be a conversation so I won't ask you interview type questions." He then proceeded to ask interview type questions. After the interview, the manager said I did great and I'll meet with the VP or CEO for the final round. I got an email from HR saying they will figure out a time for the interview in a few days. A few days after I was suppose to hear from them I got an email with a BambooHR template saying I wasn't ideal for the position.
- What areas of your work do you aim to enhance?
- What is your most significant professional strength?
Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard for a tech company in Lehi. I got a coding assignment and then had a few interviews with team members who seemed to really like their jobs. The whole thing took a really long time, about 2.5 months to get a decision, and it was tough to keep asking for updates without getting any. When I found out I didn't get the offer, I wrote a review about the long process, which made it seem like they were ghosting me. I wasn't sure if I should keep pursuing it. After some time, I saw another position open up and applied since I was a finalist before. I got an email from someone there who was surprised I'd still want a job after my review. He basically said if I deleted it, they'd consider my application. I did delete it and put up a less critical one, but then got ghosted again. I wanted to be honest about my experience this time, not just write what they wanted. I think it's a good company and most people would enjoy working there, but a few individuals give it a bad name, even though they're in the minority.
- Are you married or do you have children?
Account Executive
I interviewed with the VP of sales, and we discussed the sales process, the company, and various other topics. He asked me to sell Grow to him. I had looked at the website and knew a little about what they did, but I wasn't ready to sell him on it. It was a challenging interview, but they made it clear what kind of person they're seeking. Then, I met with the CEO. We discussed my career goals and a few other questions. I really enjoyed that part.
