The company was really on top of things communication-wise, getting back to me fast after interviews. They said I'd hear back on a certain day about both interviews and they totally did that. I had a simple phone interview, and then I was invited for a second round at their Chicago office. This was a big interview day for everyone going for the summer internship. But honestly, even though they were organized before, this interview day was a mess. Like, weird transitions, awkward breaks, people getting mixed up with recruiters, and nobody really knew the job descriptions. I never got a clear idea of what the job would actually be. The recruiters just seemed to make stuff up as they went. It was their first time doing an undergrad internship program, so I'm cutting them some slack, but I just got the vibe the company might be as unorganized as this day was. I tried to ignore all the red flags like the messy event, the recruiter not introducing themselves on the phone, and the lack of job info because I was so set on working there. Now that I didn't get accepted, I see it's for the best, and I don't think I could handle a company that's so chaotic. The recruiters and staff were nice though, and the office space was pretty cool!

The interview process is not bad if you are familiar with the genre. I was referred via by company recruiting operation. I got on phone twice with recruiter point of contact. The actual in-person part of the process included three consecutive interviews, each lasting 45 minutes long. They wanted to test out programming ability, frontend and design experience, and how to handle product development process.
