First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Groupe Beneteau.
Commercial Manager
There were two meetings: first with HR to go over the CV, then a meeting with the manager and the team. The HR person does a first screening to go deeper into the CV. During the meeting with the manager, they will test the required skills (English for example).
- What is your level of English?
Commercial Assistant
A disgraceful and disappointing interview experience, especially compared to the group I knew back in 1999. The initial RH phone call was promising, but then they asked my age. They did say I didn't have to answer, but of course, I felt obligated. After I gave my age, despite my qualifications, they rejected me. It's appalling for a company that claims to accept all ages and experience, especially coming from a young HR person new to the workforce. Thanks to LREM procedures.
- Your age?
- Do you have children?
- What does your spouse do?
Entretien d'embauche
The hiring manager was pleasant. They provided a good explanation of the company, showed me around the workshop, and were open-minded. Everything about this interview was positive. All the questions asked were answered. It makes me want to work here. Now I just have to see if the work is as interesting and pleasant as the interview.
- Can you tell me about your professional background?
Director of Marketing
The first interview was with the Director of HR, and it was a really positive experience with a quick response. Then I had the second interview with company principals from Europe, and the office vibe was super tense and not friendly at all. They started late, didn't have my resume handy, and seemed totally uninterested in me or anything I had to say. One of them was even on their phone the whole time. It was so embarrassing, and even with all my experience and prep, I couldn't get across why I'd be a good fit. They were rushed, dismissive, and seemed eager to wrap it up. The whole thing was only 30 minutes. I left feeling really annoyed and like it was a total waste of my time. I get that companies can be busy, but basic manners are important, especially for a "Luxury Brand." If they had someone better, I'd understand, but they should show candidates the respect they deserve or just save us the trip. It's been four weeks and still no word, not even a rejection. Honestly, I'm kind of relieved I won't have to work in such an unfriendly environment.
- You've had a lot of different jobs, haven't you?
