Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Group One Trading.
Intern
It was mainly a behavioural first round where they asked me about things that were on my resume. It lasted about 20 minutes. Then I was invited to tour their office which was the second round interview, and it included some probability questions.
- What similarities exist between a casino and Group One?
Intern
Had a short (30 minute) interview. It was all behavioral questions, no technical ones. They asked why I was interested in Group One Trading and why Chicago. It was a one-on-one with the recruiter, and it might have been the first of a few rounds.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenge?
Intern
It was around 4 rounds, I think. The first ones were mainly behavioral questions and reviewing my resume. The last one involved about 5 intern candidates in a round-table setting, with technical and probability-related questions.
- What are the probabilities when flipping coins?
