Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Groome Transportation.
Bus Driver
Standard interview, pretty textbook. They require a DOT physical and a drug test. It was a bit unorganized, but the people were nice. You should get any promises in writing. Oh, and they don't do paid holidays.
- Tell us why you think you're a good fit for this role.
Dispatcher
I spoke with the location manager and office manager. It felt pretty informal and we shared a lot of laughs. They are very chill and tried to work with my school schedule. Most people seem fun to work with, though it's mostly men working there.
- What days and times are you available to work each week?
Bus Driver
I met with three different people at three separate times. It was a bit tiring to have to come in that many times. The questions were intended to make sure I would be a good fit for the company.
- What motivated you to apply to Groome?
- What were your reasons for leaving your previous job?
- Describe a time you dealt with a challenging customer situation.
